Trail conditions in Grayson Highlands SP

7/9
Today we hiked in Grayson Highlands, a State Park in Virginia. It is famous for the wild ponied and great views.

The first picture is the family as we started our hike from the shelter. It was great to get some nice views after hiking for so long in the forest.

Today we also had mud, lots of it. This picture shows the famous white blaze and Sydney and Pete in front of another muddy section.

And of course we saw some ponies, about 15 in this group. The two in the picture ignored us as we tried to get past them.

To keep the ponies contained they have fences. Most were easy to pass, this was the only fence we actually had to go over.
